WE DID IT
granted, it was against UTEP, and they made a lot of mistakes, and they really aren’t that good, BUT we were road dogs, we weren’t supposed to win this game. Vegas said the miners would win by two.
They lost by ten, on Homecoming.
Sincere McCormick was our workhorse yet again, rushing for 186 yards, averaging 8 yards a carry, and a touchdown. Lowell Narcisse had himself quite a day as well, rushing for one TD and passing the ball to Moorhead for six. The offense looked competent, the play calling was aggressive and successful, and the passing plays where exciting. Of course, it wasn’t the perfect game on the offensive side of the ball but by golly, there was a spark.
The defense looked solid. Could we have held them to less sure, there where blown coverages and missed tackles but thats bound to happen in any given game.
All-In-All it was a great team win versys a bad team. We took advantage of UTEP’s mistakes and capitalized on drives. We played a darn good game of football.
The Runners take on UAB this Saturday at the Dome. Here’s to win #3.
