The Tank gets the Bank: DeMarcus Lawrence signs a $105 Million Dollar Deal for 5 Years

Written by on May 5, 2019

I told y’all that you were gonna get two blogs today. Better late than never right?

First off, THANK THE HEAVENS. I’ve been saying it all off season, DLaw deserves however much money he wants. He was the leader of that defense, and the glue that held that side of the ball together. I get that Smith and LVE where integral to this defense but without Tank, this season’s comeback just doesn’t happen. Second, he may not have been the guy getting all the tackles or the picks, but defense is all about effort, getting in the QB’s face and letting them know your there. Lawrence did all of that this season, and I’m on the verge of tears, because I’m so happy for him.

$105 Million is a heck of a lot of money, but Tank is a heck of a lot of player. I’ve been saying this since January: this upcoming season, the East is ours to lose. With this deal, and hopefully an extension for Coop in the near future, the Cowboys will be as good as I can remember them being.

It cant be Fall quick enough.

God bless America, God bless Texas, and God Bless the Dallas Cowboys. Long live the TANK, ever may he defend.
