NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported Wednesday that the Cowboys and Elliott have agreed to a six-year, $90 million extension, per sources informed of the deal. In all, it’s $103 million over eight years, with $50 million guaranteed, Rapoport added.
We knew it was coming, we knew it was happening this week. I just didn’t realize it would happen this early in the morning.
I’ve said it since the conversation started, Zeke gets what he wants. There is no Super Bowl contention without Zeke. There is no running the division without Zeke. There is no Dallas Cowboys in the current age without Ezekiel Elliot.
He’s the best RB the league has seen in years, he’s the best back Dallas has had since Emmit. He makes NFC East defenses shudder, he makes fantasy owners cry tears of joy. Zeke is the heart and soul of America’s Team. He’s the reason we can do something this year.
This Cowboys team is as complete as this 20-year-old writer has ever seen. With a dynamic, playmaking QB, a strong receiving core, the best running back in the league, and a defense that can hold some of the most prolific passers in this era to 10 points. This is the year the Cowboys make their triumphant return to winning, we’ve come close in the past 3 years, but this one just feels different.
We have a winnable schedule, we have Mr. Cowboy back in the mix, Dak will be playing for his future this upcoming year, this is the year to finally make it back to the promised land.
Miami or Bust Boys.
