2 Time Grammy Award Winner T-Pain to Headline UTSA’s Annual Howdy Rowdy Bash at Six Flags

Written by on August 7, 2019

Presented by Roadrunner Productions, this one-of-a-kind evening event at Six Flags is for the entire UTSA Community, featuring live music, exclusive ride time and more. This year’s Howdy Rowdy Bash will include a brief announcement from some UTSA Student Athletes, the Spirit of San Antonio, and a performance by Grammy Award Winning Artist, T-Pain.

With 60 hit songs under his belt and two Grammy trophies on his mantle, T-Pain has cemented himself as one of the most influential artists of all time. In 2018, T-Pain currently is the star of the hit television show on Fuse titled “T-Pain’s School of Business.” T-Pain was the winner of the masked singer after weeks of singing under the mask of the “Monster.” T-Pain is showing no signs of slowing down and has proven that he only gets better with time.

What a move by the Hills of Oak and Cedar to nab ole Teddy Pain. This is a huge get by the University and just so UTSA because of how seemingly out of nowhere the announcement came. Even people who follow UTSA’s happenings as closely as Austin and I do were floored by the announcement. McArtney was cool last year, but T-Pain is a pioneer in music, and an all-time great, this is such a big deal for this school.

It’s a big deal because it shows how excited the school is to have us back around, and honestly, at least when it comes to the people I hang around with, we are excited to be back.

Nabbing T-Pain seems like a great omen in a football season with so much uncertainty. I know these two things are as unrelated as it gets, but ever since the announcement, I’ve been buzzing.

So, to the sweet auto-tuned sounds of T-Pain, we will embark on this Fall semester, may a 4.0 GPA, a Bowl Win, 6 Great halftime shows, a Volleyball Conference Championship, March Madness bids for the men and women, a Softball title and another trip to Biloxi be in our futures.

This year is going to be special, and its all thanks to T-Pain.
