PSR Daily Pick 3/10/21

by Jeff Slaughter

Tonight we get back on track in the NCAA with a two team moneyline parlay to get some plus money back after dropping the last two games. First game we head to the 2nd round of the C-USA Tournament as the Charlotte 49ers take on the red-hot UTSA Roadrunners as both teams are trending in complete opposite directions. Charlotte has been one of the worst scoring teams in the conference averaging just 61.9 PPG and are 0-8 in their last 8 games straight up. While the 49ers hold their own on defense, giving up only 66.5 PPG to opponents, the UTSA Roadrunners like to get up the floor fast and they are very good at it averaging 79.6 PPG and rank 29th in the nation in scoring offense. Led by seniors Jhivvan Jackson who is averaging 20.7 PPG and Keaton Wallace with 16.1 PPG the Roadrunners look to use their fast paced offense to get past the Charlotte 49ers and move on to the 3rd round.

Next game we head over to the Patriot League as the Loyola-MD Greyhounds take on the Army Black Knights in the semifinals game and chance to advance in the Patriot League Tournament.  The Greyhounds come in with tons of momentum after knocking off Navy and shooting the ball extremely well in that game. A big problem for Loyola-MD has been protecting the basketball and giving up shots behind the arc. The Greyhounds are just 5-10 in Patriot League play and lack defense tremendously. The Black Knights come in 12-8 and have a trio of guys that average over 12 PPG. Army likes to shoot the three ball so that plays in well with the Greyhounds lack of perimeter defense. If Army’s trio of King, Grayson and Caldwell are all clicking and Army is hitting their shots behind the arc, I have no doubts they can win this game and advance on to the next round.
