1-2-4-8-16-32 Scoring System
Overview: This bracket contest will follow the NCAAB men's basketball tournament from the first round to the championship game. Participants will fill out a bracket predicting the outcome of each game in the tournament. Points will be awarded for each correct prediction, with the point value increasing as the tournament progresses. The participant with the most points at the end of the tournament will be declared the winner.
Scoring System: This bracket contest will use the 1-2-4-8-16-32 scoring system. Participants will receive one point for each correct prediction in the first round, two points for each correct prediction in the second round, four points for each correct prediction in the Sweet 16, eight points for each correct prediction in the Elite Eight, 16 points for each correct prediction in the Final Four, and 32 points for correctly predicting the champion.
Bracket Submission: Participants will fill out their brackets online and submit them before the start of the first game of the tournament. Once submitted, brackets cannot be changed.
Tiebreakers: In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be based on the total number of points scored in the championship game. If there is still a tie after that, the tiebreaker will be based on the participant's prediction for the total number of points scored in the championship game. If there is still a tie after that, the tiebreaker will be based on a random drawing.
Agreement to the Rules: By entering the bracket contest, participants agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the organizer.
Eligibility: The bracket contest is open to anyone 18 years or older. Only one entry per person is allowed.
