We are down to just 4 teams in the 2019 NBA Summer League. It goes so fast, after Monday all we will have is baseball for a month plus til pigskin gets going.
Last night, after a 2-0 night, I guaranteed a winning Summer League again. That’s now 2 straight seasons of profit in Vegas. Lets finish out in style…
Grizzlies ML (-130) vs Pelicans- As many of you know I’ve been on the Pelicans for most of this tourney. I love Jaxson Hayes and Nickel Alexander Walker has been one of the best players here, but the truth of the matter is they played a lot of minutes last night in an OT game and battled and pulled out the win. If the Heat roll out a full lineup, they win. Memphis is good. The front line of Bruno Cabocolo and Brandon Clarke is terrific and Keenan Evans and Tyler Harvey have stirred the drink for the Grizz. At the end of the day, I just think Memphis gets it done with a bit more energy, with the ability of the front line, I think its enough to bother the Pels. Grizz win.
Timberwolves +2 vs Nets- What was great last night about the blowout win for the Twolves was that star players Josh Okogie and Keita Bates Diop only played 30 min combined. The supporting cast stepped up and I think everyone will be pretty fresh tonight. Kelan Martin was awesome, and Barry Brown and Jordan Murphy were great of the bench as well. Most of these guys have played in the NCAA Tourney and conference tournies and have played a few games in a few nights. I love how they will be mostly pretty fresh tonight and I have to wonder how much longer the Nets continue with playing Jarrett Allen and Rodions Kurucs. I have bet on Minnesota all tourney and I won’t stop here. I believe they win this entire thing.
