BMOC Premier League Picks For Matchday 8

by Pub Sports Radio Admin

Yet another winning week last week bringing me to 25-22 +10.95 units of the season… lets keep the good mojo going and try to find some more winners in the Premier League. Here’s what I have for you…

BRIGHTON V TOTTENHAM: This is a dangerous spot for Spurs. The talk this week heading into the CL match against Bayern was that they weren’t playing for the manager and then get rocked 7-2, then there was reports about infighting with players over wives/girlfriends. Just a mess right now and now you have to head down to stingy Brighton who always play tough. Match could go one of two ways… low scoring drabby draw or Spurs taking some frustration out and roll. Either way I wont be involved. PICK: PASS

BURNLEY V EVERTON: Everton are struggling, they’ve lost 3 straight PL matches and the seat under Marco Silva continues to get hotter and hotter. A trip to Burnley will be tough as they have played well and are on a nice run of their own winning 4 in a row. Burnley always are tough and defend well, but its the goals that have been the surprise as only Liverpool has shut them out. With continued problems for Everton and a limited attack going forward, the value sits with Burnley at a nice plus price. PICK: Burnley (+190)

LIVERPOOL V LEICESTER: Leicester continue to impress sitting third in the table through 7 games. This though will be the first big test against a top side on the road. But looking at Liverpool the price is just too high for me to get involved. PICK: PASS

NORWICH CITY V ASTON VILLA: 2 of the newboy clubs this season and both have been fun to watch. This match should be different, I expect goals here and our boy Teemu Pukki was held off the score sheet last week. He won’t be held off here as Villa has conceded 6 goals over the last 3 matches. PICK: Teemu Pukki to score a goal anytime (+105)

WATFORD V SHEFFIELD UNITED: Through 7 games, Watford has conceded 20 goals. Complete rubbish they are defensively. The big questions is can Sheffield break them down? I think so especially with a guy like Billy Sharp up front plus I love them defensively. Line is too high for the better club. PICK: Sheffield United (+260)

WEST HAM UNITED V CRYSTAL PALACE: One of the best defensive sides in the Premier League? Crystal Palace as they’ve only conceded 7 goals in 7 games. The problem is they’ve only scored 6 goals. West Ham has been better defensively as well keeping a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 matches. This seems 1-1 to me. I like the UNDER. PICK: UNDER 2.5 (+100)

ARSENAL V BOURNEMOUTH: There should be goals galore in this one. 2 attacking sides that have questions marks at the back. Could see a 2-2 type draw here…. No value on much though. Totally avoiding this one. PICK: PASS

MANCHESTER CITY V WOLVES: For me, it remains tough to gauge what Wolves are as they continue Europa League competition. It’s hard to back them coming out of midweek matches. I have a feeling they lose 3-0 here… that’s what this seems like. But i will continue to avoid Wolves in all aspects. PICK: PASS

SOUTHAMPTON V CHELSEA: I’ve been totally on the money with Chelsea this year. I rode them while they were giving goals up and backing BTTS, then I backed them to clean sheet last week and they did. They wont this week as Southampton continue to find the back of the net as they have scored in every PL match this season. PICK: Both teams to score a goal (-140)

NEWCASTLE V MANCHESTER UNITED: I have to idea how to gauge either side. I think Newcastle is poor though they’ve been scrappy. United says they’re rebuilding and continue to struggle going forward. Plus the manager seems in over his head. Either way, no opinion here. PICK: PASS
