BMOC Premier League Picks For Matchday 7

by Pub Sports Radio Admin

I am back with Matchday 7 of Premier League football. What a season its been for me so far, but a lot of work to still do. I now move to 22-19 +10.70 units of profit on the season after last weeks 5-2. It’s been nice to continue to hit on some of these big draw prices and dogs. Lets get into the action for week 7 in the PL and see how it goes.

SHEFFIELD UNITED V LIVERPOOL: Interesting game for Liverpool here. The Reds on the road have looked vulnerable defensively and are seeing much more action in front of goal than normal. Sheffield have been clean sheeted just once this season in the Premier League and Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in just 2 of there last 7 road matches. Still for me, this is a big step up for Sheffield and I feel there is better value on this weeks card. PICK: PASS

ASTON VILLA V BURNLEY: We all know what Burnley’s MO is… try to escape with a point. These are two teams in pretty similiar playing fields. Both teams are poor going forward for the most part and both have a great work rate in defense.. this match screams 1-1… for me im gonna go with a low scoring match played with limited creativity. PICK: UNDER 2.5 goals (-110)

BOURNEMOUTH V WEST HAM UNITED: Is West Ham actually good defensively? We will find out a lot about that this week as they head to Bournemouth. Bournemouth have been fantastic this far going forward and this will test the Hammers. This seems like a draw to me… I can’t split it and there’s no value in the both teams to score market. i’ll look for others. PICK: PASS

CHELSEA V BRIGHTON: We are now 7 weeks into the season and Chelsea still have’t kept a clean sheet. They continue to struggle in defense, however here comes Brighton one of the worst sides going forward in the league. There’s really no excuse for Frank Lampards men here, you have to pitch a shut out. I can’t believe im saying this but I think they do. PICK: Chelsea win to nil (+140)

CRYSTAL PALACE V NORWICH: Another week and you know where I’m going here. I’ve been on it every week and I’ll continue to back it. Teemu Pukki has 6 goals in 7 games. This will be tough as Palace are solid defensively, but good players score in matches like this. Call me crazy, wouldn’t surprise me if its a penalty that gives him the goal. PICK: Teemu Pukki scores a goal anytime (+160)

TOTTENHAM V SOUTHAMPTON: I rarely bet Tottenham, and while I think Southampton are improving I don’t have much interest in them at all either. For me this is a pass every single time. PICK: PASS

WOLVES V WATFORD: Watford have been the worst defensive side in the Premier League and continue to lack going forward. Last week I told you they’d get thrashed and not score. This is another dangerous game as they head to take on a team that score a ton of goals. I really like this Wolves side. Everything from the manager, to the players, to the atmosphere at the Molineaux. Wolves is a really solid play this week. PICK: Wolves (-115)

EVERTON V MANCHESTER CITY: Does anyone really want to step in front of City right now? They’ve now scored 3 or more goals in 5 of the last 8 in the Premier League and this week get an Everton side that has no consistency and has lacked going forward scoring just 5 goals thus far on the campaign. This won’t be a blowout like last week for City, but it will be comfortable. PICK: Manchester City -1.5 AH (-110)

LEICESTER CITY V NEWCASTLE: Newcastle are not a good side, but I’ll give them this, they defend pretty well and are always scrappy. I like Leicester but do I want to lay a handicap or -200 with them. No. I also have no interest in the goals market because Newcastle can be so poor. You just don’t know where to find value in this match. PICK: PASS

MANCHESTER UNITED VS ARSENAL: Really like the Gunners in this one. They bring in reinforcements defensively that are needed in Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney and Callum Chambers looks like a really good defender. United basically came out this week and said they are rebuilding. Gonna be tough to deal with one of the best offensive sides in the Premier League. PICK: Arsenal (+200)
